2015 Annual Patchwork Sisters No-Sew Fleece Fellowship

Our Annual No-Sew Blanket Making Fellowship is here again!
Lets gather on the Saturday before Thanksgiving to make fleece
blankets to bless many others, as you have done so for the past years.
Date: November 21st, 2015 (Saturday)
Time: 11 AM to 2 PM
Place: GPCCC Fellowship Hall
This year, we will be donating the fleece blankets to two places:
1. Baby Store at Choices Pregnancy Center in Tempe
2. IHelp, which is a homeless shelter coordinated by Chandler Community Center.
We will show first timers on how to get started with a fleece blanket.
You will need the following items to make a blanket:
------------------------------------------------------------------
1. a pair of sharp fabric scissors
2. sewing pins or safety pins
3. blue painter's tape
4. Size of fleece: baby crib size (36 X 54 inches),
    lap blanket (48 X 60 inches) or twin (60 X 72 inches).
You can buy the fleece precut and packaged or cut from bolt.
We will have extra fleece available for those who would like to
come and offer your labor. We appreciate any help we can get.
We will serve a light brunch and you are welcome to bring a plate (fruits or snacks) to the table. We should wrap up by 2 pm.

Thank you and may the Lord bless you,
Grace Ganger and Pam Bakas

Choices Pregnancy Center Tour

The Patchwork Sisters have an opportunity to organize a tour of the
Tempe location of the Choices Pregnancy Centers on Saturday, September 19, from 2pm to 3pm.  You probably remember the Baby Bottle Donation Drive GPCCC had in May and June of this year, raising $2787.00, benefiting the Choices Pregnancy Centers.  They serve pregnant women throughout the Valley in four different locations through pregnancy counseling, parenting classes, baby supplies and more. During the tour, we will be able to learn more about volunteer positions that provide counseling sessions to pregnant women in need close to the ASU area.

For more information, please contact Grace.
